Everything that is said in our office stays in our office. We don't discuss our clients, disclose their names, or reveal any details of their sessions with anyone else (unless there is a safety concern or with permission). As long as we are not worried for our safety or our client's safety, we maintain complete confidentiality.

The basis of our practice is healthy, respectful boundaries. You are always in charge of the session. Unless you are asking us to do something we cannot ethically or legally do.

Every part of your bodywork session, from the amount of pressure used to the areas of the body worked on to the volume of the music, is within your control. We encourage our clients to ask for what they want and need. We respect all clients, and know that as they are the ones inhabiting their bodies, they are the experts on what feels right.

FAQs

Accessibility

We are in an accessible, second floor office with an elevator past stairwell B. The treatment room can accommodate walkers and wheelchairs. There are several bathrooms on each floor. There are handicap parking spaces available.

Clients must be able to get on and off the massage table on their own, It is a liability issue for your massage therapist to assist. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

Session Attire

Wearing a sports bra, loose athletic shorts, and underwear during a treatment session allows for optimal assessment, movement, and access, ensuring the client's comfort and effective evaluation or treatment.

This attire choice is likely designed to:

1. Facilitate Assessment and Movement:

   - Sports bras and loose athletic shorts can provide ease of movement, allowing the practitioner to assess and work on the relevant areas effectively.

2. Enable Proper Access:

   - This attire allows practitioners to access specific muscle groups or areas of concern without discomfort or restriction.

3. Client Comfort:

   - Wearing comfortable attire can help the client feel at ease during the session, which is essential for relaxation and optimal outcomes.

4. Assist in Professional Evaluation:

   - The chosen attire can aid in a thorough evaluation of the client's posture, movement patterns, and muscle functionality.

Arrival to Your Appointment

Please arrive to your appointment 10-15 minutes prior to the scheduled starting time. This allows you the time to fill out the appropriate client form (new clients), change and prepare for the service. All treatment sessions have a specific time schedule. An early arrival allows for a relaxed and unhurried experience. If a late arrival is inevitable, your service may be shortened in order to stay on schedule.

Bad Weather

If the weather is bad or unsafe driving conditions exist, you can expect a call from us regarding your appointment. We don’t want you to feel unsafe, but we recognize here in Nashville locals may want to keep their appointments no matter the weather, so we do our best to be here. Cancellations due to weather are no problem. If one of the staff is unable to come in we will call you immediately and try to re-book your appointment.

What is customary when it comes to tips?

We don't expect tips. We want to be a regular part of your self-care regimen, and we find that the anxiety surrounding whether or not to tip can be a deterrent for clients.

We are aware that cost can be a barrier to getting regular bodywork, and members of our community often don't have a lot of discretionary income.

Preventative Care

I recommend you try at least 3 new things that will benefit your body weekly. From your work life to your daily movement.

The future you will thank you.

Minors

We do work on clients under the age of 18. A parent must be present during the entire session.

Currently not offered

We do not offer prenatal or hot stone massage at this time. However, we can refer you to someone that does.

Walk-ins

While we primarily operate on an appointment basis, feel free to reach out by phone. Although we can't guarantee same-day bookings, we will make every effort to accommodate your scheduling preferences.
